Vets for your pets

You may recall us mentioning in our October issue of Take 10 that the Companion Care website was due to launch – well we're pleased to say it now has and for those of you who missed that issue here's an update.

We started working with Companion Care, the vet partners at Pets at Home, earlier in the year to create their brand new website.

The website needed to appeal to two VERY different audiences. Customers with pets, and Vets looking for a JVP opportunity. There are currently 52 vet practices in Pets at Home, our remit was to create a website which would help recruit another 100.

Therefore the website needed two distinctive sides and visual identities to appeal to each sector.

The pets side focusses on customer engagement and reinforces the message that Companion Care vets and teams are real people who are professional, approachable and really do look after your pet. The website provides features such as an easy to use location finder with details of each of the surgeries, maps and contact details along with a useful pet advice section which can be used to help pet owners gain access to health and well being information about their pets. An interactive play area, where users can download colouring templates, send in photos of their pets to the Pet Gallery and watch videos of the crazy capers some of our furry friends have been caught on camera has been incorporated to capture the imagination of the younger visitor.

The Vet Partnership and Recruitment side of the website needed to focus heavily on the benefits of working with Companion Care and needed to help dispel certain myths which potential JVPs may have of working with a corporate veterinary practice. Companion Care offer full support for the day to day running of their JVP's practices but certainly don't limit a vets clinical freedom. A JVP with Companion Care can offer great financial rewards too helping Vets to manage a healthy work life balance.

The website went live in October and is already creating a lot of interest however it's still early days to report any stats but we'll keep you posted when we review it in January.

10 did a great job at redesigning our web presence and in particular developed a very clever site which met our needs of a dual purpose site for consumers and professionals. They have subsequently helped us develop our recruitment brand advertising campaign to support the new web presence. All in all a great job and highly recommended.
