With more than 20 years’ experience in design, branding and creative direction, Jill’s an industry heavyweight with the kind of reputation every CD hankers for.
Following a first-class honours degree at Nottingham University, and the inevitable period of ‘doing time’ down in London, Jill cut her teeth working for some of the north’s leading agencies before teaming up with David to start 10 Associates. Her career clients to date are various household names including Virgin, Fujitsu, Opera North and Marks and Spencer.
Jill’s professional passions are typography and ‘intelligent’ ideas-based design, and her creative talent has already earned her a raft of awards for corporate identity, advertising and packaging work. She’s also a contributor to various design books and publications, as well as an active member of the Design Council and a passionate advocate of its Designing Demand initiative. As Creative Director at 10, Jill’s the one who takes ultimate responsibility for the team’s creative pride and the consistent high quality of the agency’s ideas. She also created, and now runs, 10’s legendary Brandschool™ programme of workshops and presentations.
Jill’s a bit of a tree hugger and loves her animals: she dreams of walking her dogs around a modest plot somewhere in the wilds of North Yorkshire, and perhaps even adopting a couple of donkeys.
